Dear Ọrẹolúwa,

At some point, you might have landed in a phase that feels alien. The shock may be huge and gap may be real. But I know that you were courageous because Jesus is the rock of your salvation. Our God's divine presence stays with you, even in overwhelmingly difficult and hopeless circumstances. Just like you now, life here is unlike I used to see it, but it is part of our journey and I can say with confidence that Jesus is enough for us. I have joy and pain thinking of you and wonderful teenager you believe that you will be, my precious Ọrẹolúwa. I have the assurance that we have a loving father, Jesus who loves you way more than I could and takes care of you. Ọrẹolúwa, as you would have wanted I am doing my best to ensure that you are seen, heard, understood, appreciated, supported and loved. I am forever proud of you and will always look after you and love you without conditions. I will allow myself to feel the sadness and gratitude of your physical presence and absence. The beauty of God's plan for you is that even though your death at this time was never what we wanted, we have faith that it happened in a way He wanted and better than we could ever imagine. It is extremely painful to outlive you, someone I deeply love.
